Privacy, cookies and terms
Privacy

The site is operated from Romania (EU). We do not profile you or make automated decisions. We answer requests about your data within 30 days.
What data we process and why:
- Contact form: name, email and message, only to reply to you. Legal basis: your consent (the box you tick when sending). The message arrives in our mailbox and is not stored on the site; we keep it at most 12 months after the last reply.
- Form anti-spam: an unreadable code derived from your IP address, kept on the server for at most 1 hour to limit automated messages (legitimate interest in security).
- “Filament stock” account (optional): email, password (stored only as an irreversible hash), language, registration date and last sign-in, plus the inventory, price and order-list data you enter. Legal basis: performance of the service you request and your consent at registration. Each account sees only its own data. We keep the data while the account exists; you can export it or delete the account from the Settings tab and the data is erased immediately. Accounts never confirmed by email are deleted after 7 days. We use one technical session cookie (fipco_fm), necessary for sign-in and exempt from consent. For automatic price reading our server visits the public pages of the shops you list (the “FIPCO-PriceBot”, see the Price bot page); we send no personal data to those sites.
- Server logs: the hosting provider records IP address, date and requested page for security and operation, for the period the provider sets.
- Preferences on your device: language, tool choices and your cookie choice. They stay in your browser and are not sent to us.
- Google AdSense ads: only if you accept. Google may use cookies and identifiers and processes data as an independent controller (policies.google.com/technologies/ads).
- Affiliate networks (Awin, 2Performant): only if you accept cookies, banners may set cookies to measure clicks and sales; the networks process the data as independent controllers.
- Google Analytics statistics: only if you accept. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to count visitors and see which pages are read; Google may use cookies and identifiers.
Who we share data with: the hosting provider and the email provider (Google), who may process data outside the European Economic Area with appropriate safeguards (for example standard contractual clauses).
Your rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent at any time, by writing to us from the Contact page. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in Romania the ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro), or the one in your country.
The site is not aimed at children under 16. Fonts are hosted on our own site: we don’t send your IP to Google for typefaces.
Cookies
We use five entries of the browser’s local storage (localStorage), needed to remember your choices:
- fipco: language and tool choices. Kept until you clear them.
- fipco-consent: your cookie choice. 180 days.
- fipco-calc: price calculator and offer-header data (name, contact). Kept until you clear it.
- fipco-logo: the logo you upload for your quotes. Kept until you remove it.
- fipco-terms: your acceptance of the terms. 12 months.
Third-party cookies (Google Analytics, for example _ga, Google AdSense, Awin and 2Performant) load only after your consent. You can change your mind anytime with the “Cookie settings” button at the bottom of every page: withdrawing consent reloads the page without statistics or ads.
Terms and conditions
Use of the site. FIPCO.ro provides 3D printing starting values, guides and calculation tools for information only. They are not guarantees: always check the instructions of your printer and filament maker.
Acceptance for the tools. To use the Settings generator and the Price calculator you must accept these terms and the privacy notice; the rest of the site can be read without accepting. Acceptance is separate from cookies: you may decline them and still use the tools.
Limits of the values. Values are indicative, not exact, and do not guarantee a 100% successful print, because they depend on many factors (filament type and brand, filament moisture, printer location and type, vibrations, plate cleanliness, maintenance and more). The data is based on manufacturers’ public information and updated at undefined intervals; news in the top bar is fetched automatically from manufacturers’ official pages at variable intervals.
Safety. 3D printers use high temperatures and moving parts; some materials (ABS, ASA, PC, nylon) emit fumes. Ventilate the room and follow the manufacturer’s instructions. We are not liable for harm to people, printers, parts or filament resulting from use of the information.
Price calculator. It gives estimates, not binding quotes, and is not tax or legal advice. Default values are indicative: update them with your own data and check with your accountant.
Content. Text, tables, data and graphics belong to FIPCO.ro and are protected by copyright. You may quote and summarise them naming “FIPCO.ro” and linking to the page; search engines and AI assistants may read and cite them with the same attribution. Full copying, downloading the whole site, mass scraping and republishing without our written permission are prohibited.
External links. Links to makers’ and third-party sites are for convenience; we aren’t responsible for their content. Trademarks and names belong to their owners.
Advertising. The site may show Google ads only with your consent.
Affiliate links. Some store links may be affiliate links: if you buy, FIPCO.ro may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Prices and availability are the store’s and may change. Links are marked and do not influence the technical information in the guides.
Governing law. Romanian law applies, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country. We may update these terms: the date is at the top of the page.
